The RAAM is, as many people think, the craziest bike race in the world – with the target to be the fastest one in the 5,000 km stage from the American West Coast to the East Coast. You have to pass more than 50 checkpoints and stay inside a time limit of 12 days and 5 hours. Every participant can rest when necessary, but your chances of winning are highest when you sleep no more than one or two hours per night.
