"SEVEN SUMMITS Austria" - these are the highest summits of Austria's provinces,
whereby two mountains are considered borderline summits. Wolfgang
Fasching will follow his project from west to east. This means he will
start on 13th August at 4 a.m. at the Piz Buin (3,312 m) in Vorarlberg
and will then tackle the following summits: Großvenediger (3,662m);
Großglockner (3,798m); Dachstein (2,995m); Gschriebenstein (884m),
Hermannskogel (542m), Schneeberg (2,076m). Of course, the three times
winner of the Race Across America will cover the distance between the mountains (1,050km and 20,000m altitude difference) using his bicycle.
Bielerhöhe Pass on the evening before the start: it's raining cats and dogs.

On our journey through the Tiroler Unterland the sun was shining. However, when we approached the Silvretta dam the heavens opened.
